Report of Health Select Committee

A recent report of the House of Commons Health Committee called for more care for people wanting to die at home. Although 56% of people who are terminally ill say they would prefer to die at home, currently only 20% do, and more needs to be done to allow people who wish to die at home to be able to do so, says the report on palliative care.

The National Forum for Hospice at Home made a significant contribution to this report.

It is Palliative Care: Fourth Report of Session 2003-04 and is accessible now.
