I am currently Service Manager at St. Luke’s Hospice at Home in South West Essex. I have been in post since the service started in 2003.

The service is a partnership venture between a social enterprise company and St. Luke’s Hospice, and has both charitable and PCT funding. We work in partnership with Marie Curie Cancer Care and co-ordinate the requirements for night support at a local level according to priority. Our range of interventions to support families and patients at home are being developed to meet the End of Life Strategy.

I feel that this is time of great opportunity to make a difference, and provide the level of support and services patients and families need to make dying at home a realistic choice with quality and dignity. Joining a National Forum is a new challenge for me and I am looking forward to serving on the H@H executive committee. I was elected in November 2008.
