I have worked in palliative care for 18 years, previously at Willen Hospice, Milton Keynes, initially in their In Patient unit. Later, I was involved in setting up the Hospice at Home service and also worked as a community clinical nurse specialist for 3 years. My dissertation for my MSc in clinical studies is on collaborative working.
Having moved back to Sussex 5 years ago to be closer to family and the sea, I can enjoy walking my 2 dogs across the downs and along the beach. I am married with two sons, 16 and 19 years old.
As an executive committee member, I hope I can help and support the development of Hospice at Home services across the country. Passionately promoting peoples right to die at home if they choose, with dignity, supporting them as individuals and focusing on their needs
